Inner Way LA commits itself to the ongoing cultivation of a space where people of all backgrounds can feel safe and welcome. We are united as a community in the ideals and practices of justice, equality, inclusion, and freedom in our desire to end systemic racism in all its gross and subtle manifestations.

We commit to the practice of meditation and the study of universal spiritual truths in furtherance of the liberation of all beings. We commit to integrating the fruits of this practice and study into decisive action in the world to bring about racial equality. These actions include the following pledges:

• Commitment to inviting and promoting Dharma teachers with a background in the dismantling of wrong world view, including systemic racism.
• Commitment to the practice of energized and self-reflective anti-racism both in ourselves as individuals and as an organization, with the goal of manifesting positive change for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color.
• Not letting the mistakes that we know we will invariably make on this path be an obstacle to our growth.

May all beings with no exceptions be safe and free from danger and harm and may each of us take personal responsibility for this being so.
